Uncovering The Mental Health Crisis in Schools

Of the 50 million public school students in the U.S., one in five of them show signs of a mental health disorder. Nearly 80% of these students don’t receive any form of support or counseling from their schools.

Students deal with mental health issues every day, but schools are often unable to help them effectively – many teachers and school nurses have no training to help their students. When students are struggling with mental illness, they can have difficulty learning and may miss out on certain experiences with their peers.
